Engine Hyundai-Kia G4NC

The 2.0-liter Hyundai G4NC engine debuted on the Hyundai i40 2.0 GDi in 2011 and has been widely adopted in the European and American automotive markets. This power unit is distinguished by the presence of a proprietary direct fuel injection system. In addition to the direct fuel injection system, it is no different from other units of the line: there is a similar aluminum block with cast-iron liners and an open cooling jacket, an aluminum 16-valve head with hydraulic compensators, phase shifters on both shafts, a timing chain drive and a plastic intake manifold with a geometry change system VIS.
